Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food service or kitchen leadership
  • ability to supervise and train staff
  • excellent communication skills
  • knowledge of safe food handling practices
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • capability to manage inventory and control waste
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen duties

Job Qualifications

  • knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures

Job Duties

  • Supervises and oversees the production of food
  • enforces compliance with employment policies in area of responsibility
  • monitors tickets and sets pace during peak hours
  • manages through hands-on supervision of the restaurant including serving, hosting, cooking
  • conducts formal line taste and temperature checks
  • ensures proper handling, maintenance, and storage of items
  • manages inventory and tracks waste at the direction of Kitchen Manager
  • monitors and maintains cleanliness and proper equipment maintenance
  • ensures consistency in food and service to increase sales
  • practices safe food handling procedures
  • ensures back of house employees follow established recipes and procedures
  • creates a safe environment and assists in employee development
  • maintains restaurant cleanliness and guest safety
  • fosters culture and lives core values daily
