Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Prior experience in restaurant or food service industry preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in the main language(s) spoken in the workplace
  • Understanding of food safety and quality standards
  • Capability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills
  • Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen

Job Qualifications

  • Proficiency in grasping and communicating Chipotle's ethos of prioritizing food with integrity
  • Proficiency in the main language(s) spoken in the workplace area
  • Completion of high school education or its equivalent
  • Experience in restaurant-related work preferred

Job Duties

  • Assure food quality through the precise cooking and preparation of meals according to order specifics and kitchen guidelines
  • Manage the monitoring of food wastage and inventory levels, addressing any issues with food quality as necessary
  • Enhance team cohesion between the back-of-house crew and front-of-house crew members
  • Assist in the transformation of crew members into upcoming kitchen leaders
  • Enhance customer service and operational efficiency by fostering effective communication with both crew members and patrons
  • Ensure the kitchen area remains sanitary and well-kept
  • Oversee the maintenance of kitchen devices to ensure they are in good condition and quickly fixed if any problems arise
  • Follow all safety regulations to ensure the prevention of injuries and accidents
  • Properly document material safety data sheets (MSDS) and maintain inventory rotation using the FIFO system as stipulated
