Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- Prior experience in restaurant or food service industry preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in the main language(s) spoken in the workplace
- Understanding of food safety and quality standards
- Capability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen
Job Qualifications
- Proficiency in grasping and communicating Chipotle's ethos of prioritizing food with integrity
- Proficiency in the main language(s) spoken in the workplace area
- Completion of high school education or its equivalent
- Experience in restaurant-related work preferred
Job Duties
- Assure food quality through the precise cooking and preparation of meals according to order specifics and kitchen guidelines
- Manage the monitoring of food wastage and inventory levels, addressing any issues with food quality as necessary
- Enhance team cohesion between the back-of-house crew and front-of-house crew members
- Assist in the transformation of crew members into upcoming kitchen leaders
- Enhance customer service and operational efficiency by fostering effective communication with both crew members and patrons
- Ensure the kitchen area remains sanitary and well-kept
- Oversee the maintenance of kitchen devices to ensure they are in good condition and quickly fixed if any problems arise
- Follow all safety regulations to ensure the prevention of injuries and accidents
- Properly document material safety data sheets (MSDS) and maintain inventory rotation using the FIFO system as stipulated
