Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is advantageous
- ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams
- understanding of food safety and quality standards
- willingness to follow safety protocols strictly
- capability to maintain cleanliness and organization in a fast-paced kitchen
- ability to foster teamwork and mentor crew members
Job Qualifications
- Proficiency in grasping and communicating Chipotle's ethos of prioritizing Food With Integrity
- proficiency in the main language(s) spoken in the workplace area
- completion of high school education or its equivalent
- prior restaurant-related work experience is preferred
Job Duties
- Assure food quality through the precise cooking and preparation of meals according to order specifics and kitchen guidelines
- manage the monitoring of food wastage and inventory levels, addressing any issues with food quality as necessary
- enhance team cohesion between the back-of-house crew and front-of-house crew members
- assist in the transformation of crew members into upcoming kitchen leaders
- enhance customer service and operational efficiency by fostering effective communication with both crew members and patrons
- ensure the kitchen area remains sanitary and well-kept
- oversee the maintenance of kitchen devices to ensure they are in good condition and quickly fixed if any problems arise
- follow all safety regulations to ensure the prevention of injuries and accidents
- properly document Material Safety Data Sheets and maintain inventory rotation using the FIFO system as stipulated
