Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is advantageous
  • ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams
  • understanding of food safety and quality standards
  • willingness to follow safety protocols strictly
  • capability to maintain cleanliness and organization in a fast-paced kitchen
  • ability to foster teamwork and mentor crew members

Job Qualifications

  • Proficiency in grasping and communicating Chipotle's ethos of prioritizing Food With Integrity
  • proficiency in the main language(s) spoken in the workplace area
  • completion of high school education or its equivalent
  • prior restaurant-related work experience is preferred

Job Duties

  • Assure food quality through the precise cooking and preparation of meals according to order specifics and kitchen guidelines
  • manage the monitoring of food wastage and inventory levels, addressing any issues with food quality as necessary
  • enhance team cohesion between the back-of-house crew and front-of-house crew members
  • assist in the transformation of crew members into upcoming kitchen leaders
  • enhance customer service and operational efficiency by fostering effective communication with both crew members and patrons
  • ensure the kitchen area remains sanitary and well-kept
  • oversee the maintenance of kitchen devices to ensure they are in good condition and quickly fixed if any problems arise
  • follow all safety regulations to ensure the prevention of injuries and accidents
  • properly document Material Safety Data Sheets and maintain inventory rotation using the FIFO system as stipulated
