Job Requirements
- High school degree or GED
- Three to five years experience in supervisory capacity
- Experience in a high volume kitchen environment
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to supervise multiple levels of culinary workers
- Ability to complete heavy workload and multitask with minimal supervision
- Good judgment and decision making
- Ability to interact professionally with other departments and contacts
- ACF certification or equivalent
- Certified Professional Food Manager Certification
- Health permit, food safety and Alcohol Awareness cards obtained before start
- Ability to travel occasionally for training
- Physical ability to work in fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Ability to stand, walk, reach 90 percent of time
- Ability to push, pull, lift objects up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to communicate clearly in primary language
- Hearing and vision abilities per job requirements
Job Qualifications

- ACF certification or equivalent required
- Certified Professional Food Manager Certification required

Job Duties
- Perform all responsibilities of each position in the kitchen
- Conduct proper ordering procedures to maintain par levels of kitchen products
- Ensure high standards of service efficiency, sanitation, and safety practices
- Perform daily inventory walk-throughs to determine production needs
- Conduct regular meetings with staff
- Assist Kitchen Manager with labor control and staff evaluations
- Develop, coach, discipline, and mentor staff members
- Complete culinary staff schedules according to forecasted business volume
- Anticipate and recommend employment needs
- Coordinate catering and banquet functions with department heads
- Ensure proper plate presentation and adherence to recipe guidelines
- Maintain product quality, consistency, and waste prevention
- Assist in training new staff
- Notify department heads of low inventory and recommend new inventory
- Ensure highest quality product reaches guests meeting specifications
- Maintain productivity and quality standards
- Calculate COGS and troubleshoot cost discrepancies
- Forecast labor costs using historical data
- Communicate product knowledge and engage with guests
- Perform other duties as assigned with urgency
- Adhere to safety and sanitation practices
- Follow all company policies and procedures
