Job Requirements

  • 2-4 years college education or equivalent job experience
  • At least 2 years supervisory or management experience in food service
  • Current and valid ServSafe certification
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to work summers, weekdays, weeknights, weekends, and most major holidays
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to use industrial kitchen equipment and perform physical tasks including lifting 50lbs
  • Satisfactory completion of background check
  • Compliance with Mount Hermon employee handbook and driving guidelines
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • College graduate or equivalent job experience
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory or management experience in high-volume food service
  • Experience in coordinating large-scale events and leading teams
  • Christian ministry leadership experience considered
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong problem-solving and time management abilities
  • Ability to motivate and develop staff spiritually and professionally

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef in managing kitchen staff
  • Provide training, coaching, and professional development for kitchen personnel
  • Enforce state, federal, and internal food service policies
  • Coordinate communication between kitchen, dining, and other departments
  • Oversee kitchen operations during guest meal service
  • Maintain optimal staffing levels and engage volunteers
  • Ensure kitchen cleanliness and coordinate maintenance
  • Participate in weekly leadership meetings
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor
