Job Requirements
- 2-4 years college education or equivalent job experience
- At least 2 years supervisory or management experience in food service
- Current and valid ServSafe certification
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to work summers, weekdays, weeknights, weekends, and most major holidays
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Ability to use industrial kitchen equipment and perform physical tasks including lifting 50lbs
- Satisfactory completion of background check
- Compliance with Mount Hermon employee handbook and driving guidelines
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- College graduate or equivalent job experience
- Minimum of 2 years supervisory or management experience in high-volume food service
- Experience in coordinating large-scale events and leading teams
- Christian ministry leadership experience considered
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong problem-solving and time management abilities
- Ability to motivate and develop staff spiritually and professionally
Job Duties
- Assist the Executive Chef in managing kitchen staff
- Provide training, coaching, and professional development for kitchen personnel
- Enforce state, federal, and internal food service policies
- Coordinate communication between kitchen, dining, and other departments
- Oversee kitchen operations during guest meal service
- Maintain optimal staffing levels and engage volunteers
- Ensure kitchen cleanliness and coordinate maintenance
- Participate in weekly leadership meetings
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor
