Job Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Some college education preferred
  • Two years of kitchen experience preferred
  • Current Food Handler’s Permit
  • Ability to professionally and appropriately handle conflict
  • Must enjoy working with and handling kitchen products
  • Passion for preparing, cooking, and eating food particularly kitchen items
  • Ability to interpret policies and procedures
  • Excellent organization and planning skills
  • Solid communication skills including verbal and listening skills
  • Ability to accept constructive review and accountability
  • Ability to make logical, significant decisions using general, recognized analytical skills and techniques
  • Integrity and positive attitude

Job Duties

  • Follows established departmental and store policies and procedures
  • Ensures the quality and freshness of all products and services Harmons’ Kitchen provides
  • Responsible for maintaining the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the Kitchen
  • Confirms pricing accuracy and signage for all products, paying particular attention to ad items
  • Ensures the Kitchen is cleaned and sanitized daily and meets the company standards for appearance
  • Delivers excellent customer service to all customers
  • Ordering product and creating production sheets to meet the needs of Harmons’ Kitchen based on past and projected sales
  • Active member of the Safety Committee which helps ensure the safety of both customers and associates
  • Completes assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely manner
  • Sets a professional and positive example to others
  • Communicates openly and frequently with Store Director and Director of Kitchen Operations
  • Ensures company standards for safety, sanitation, and productivity are maintained
  • Teaches, mentors, and educates associates to help them be successful members of the team
  • Provides honest, direct, and constant feedback to associates regarding their performance and areas of improvement
  • Assesses associate performance and influences promotion, discipline, etc.
  • Writing the Kitchen schedule to ensure coverage and meet labor goals
  • Quarterly inventory of all Kitchen products
