Job Requirements

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years progressive restaurant back-of-house experience
  • Knowledge of food safety rules and standards
  • Experience in Italian cuisine preparation
  • Understanding of back-of-house administrative duties
  • Prior experience mentoring kitchen staff
  • English language proficiency
  • Excellent communication and supervisory skills
  • High motivation and ability to think quickly on the job

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in a restaurant back-of-house environment
  • In-depth experience preparing various food dishes, focusing on Italian cuisine
  • Excellent understanding of back-of-house administrative duties
  • Prior experience teaching and mentoring kitchen employees
  • Strong communication and supervisory skills
  • Ability to speak, read and communicate effectively in English
  • High motivation with quick decision-making skills

Job Duties

  • Ensure all food items and products are stored, prepared and served based on the kitchen's recipe, preparation and portion standards
  • Prepare dishes according to company and store recipes
  • Assist with hiring, training, scheduling and other kitchen administrative functions
  • Order kitchen materials and ingredients based on store menu and ingredients
  • Supervise food preparation and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Maintain a clean working environment and enforce kitchen safety and company policies
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels and conduct daily and weekly inventories
  • Collaborate with department managers to create menu items, pricing and portion sizes
  • Schedule shifts by business hours, days, and occasions
  • Oversee employee training for safe operation of kitchen equipment and proper handling of materials
  • Perform other duties as assigned
