Job Requirements
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Must be able to grasp, push, pull, carry, stoop, twist, crouch, reach
- Ability to perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and coordination
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend throughout the workday
- Ability to maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must have a Food Handler's Permit
- Must have at least a high school diploma or GED
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people
- Ability to handle conflict professionally
- Must be accountable for individual and team success
Job Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED and some college education are preferred
- Two years of kitchen experience preferred
- Current Food Handler's Permit
- Ability to professionally and appropriately handle conflict
- Must enjoy working with and handling kitchen products
- Should have a passion for preparing, cooking, and eating food particularly kitchen items
- Ability to interpret policies and procedures
- Excellent organization and planning skills
- Must possess solid communication skills including verbal and listening skills
- Must possess the ability to accept constructive review and be accountable for performance
- Required to make logical, significant decisions using analytical skills and techniques
- Must possess integrity, a positive attitude, be mission-driven, and be self-directed
- Demonstrated passion for Harmons' mission and commitment to working collaboratively
- Continually strives to be product minded, customer minded, personnel minded, detailed, forward focused, and consistent
Job Duties
- Follows established departmental and store policies and procedures
- Ensures the quality and freshness of all products and services Harmons' Kitchen provides
- Responsible for maintaining the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the Kitchen
- Confirms pricing accuracy and signage for all products, paying particular attention to ad items
- Ensures the Kitchen is cleaned and sanitized daily and meets the company standards for appearance
- Delivers excellent customer service to all customers
- Ordering product and creating production sheets to meet the needs of Harmons' Kitchen based on past and projected sales
- Active member of the Safety Committee which helps ensure the safety of both customers and associates
- Completes assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely manner
- Sets a professional and positive example to others
- Communicates openly and frequently with Store Director and Director of Kitchen Operations
- Ensures company standards for safety, sanitation, and productivity are maintained
- Teaches, mentors, and educates associates to help them be successful members of the team
- Provides honest, direct, and constant feedback to associates regarding their performance and areas of improvement
- Writing the Kitchen schedule to ensure coverage and meet labor goals
- Quarterly inventory of all Kitchen products
