Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or certification from culinary school preferred
  • At least 3 years experience in a similar kitchen management role
  • Knowledge of kitchen health and safety regulations
  • Exceptional leadership skills
  • Ability to mentor and train kitchen staff
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under fast-paced and stressful conditions

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Fill in for the Kitchen Manager in planning and directing food preparation when necessary
  • Follow the Hash Kitchen recipe book with exactness and precision
  • Work closely with and train cooks and kitchen staff in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food to the Hash Kitchen standards
  • Monitor training processes and meet regularly with trainers to discuss staff member progress and goals
  • Lead in quality control, food safety procedures, and restaurant food safety guidelines
  • Check and maintain proper food holding and refrigeration temperature control points
  • Monitor and enforce the use of temperature log
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks or workers engaged in food preparation
  • Maintain back-of-house facilities and equipment to uphold safety and cleanliness standards
  • Communicate with the Kitchen Manager regarding safety and cleanliness standards
  • Oversee all product orders and products received
  • Control food cost and usage by following proper requisition of products, storage procedures, standard recipes, and waste control procedures
  • Perform other duties as required by upper management
