Job Requirements
- a high school diploma or GED
- two years of kitchen experience preferred
- current Food Handler's Permit
- ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
- excellent communication skills
- ability to handle conflict professionally
- strong organizational skills
- capability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
Job Qualifications
- a high school diploma or GED is preferred
- some college education is preferred
- two years of kitchen experience preferred
- current Food Handler's Permit
- ability to professionally and appropriately handle conflict
- must enjoy working with and handling kitchen products
- should have a passion for preparing, cooking, and eating food particularly kitchen items
- ability to interpret policies and procedures
- excellent organization and planning skills
- must possess solid communication skills, including verbal and listening skills
- must possess the ability to accept constructive review and be accountable for one’s own success as well as the success of your team
- required to make logical, significant decisions using analytical skills and techniques
- must possess integrity, a positive attitude, be mission-driven, and be self-directed
Job Duties
- follows established departmental and store policies and procedures
- ensures the quality and freshness of all products and services Harmons' Kitchen provides
- responsible for maintaining the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the kitchen
- confirms pricing accuracy and signage for all products, paying particular attention to ad items
- ensures the kitchen is cleaned and sanitized daily and meets the company standards for appearance
- delivers excellent customer service to all customers
- ordering product and creating production sheets to meet the needs of Harmons' Kitchen based on past and projected sales
- active member of the safety committee which helps ensure the safety of both customers and associates
- completes assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely manner
- sets a professional and positive example to others
- communicates openly and frequently with Store Director and Director of Kitchen Operations
- ensures company standards for safety, sanitation, and productivity are maintained
- teaches, mentors, and educates associates to help them be successful members of the team
- provides honest, direct, and constant feedback to associates regarding their performance and areas of improvement
- assesses associate performance and influences promotion, discipline, etc
- writing the kitchen schedule to ensure coverage and meet labor goals
- quarterly inventory of all kitchen products
