Job Requirements

  • a high school diploma or GED
  • two years of kitchen experience preferred
  • current Food Handler's Permit
  • ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to handle conflict professionally
  • strong organizational skills
  • capability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • a high school diploma or GED is preferred
  • some college education is preferred
  • two years of kitchen experience preferred
  • current Food Handler's Permit
  • ability to professionally and appropriately handle conflict
  • must enjoy working with and handling kitchen products
  • should have a passion for preparing, cooking, and eating food particularly kitchen items
  • ability to interpret policies and procedures
  • excellent organization and planning skills
  • must possess solid communication skills, including verbal and listening skills
  • must possess the ability to accept constructive review and be accountable for one’s own success as well as the success of your team
  • required to make logical, significant decisions using analytical skills and techniques
  • must possess integrity, a positive attitude, be mission-driven, and be self-directed

Job Duties

  • follows established departmental and store policies and procedures
  • ensures the quality and freshness of all products and services Harmons' Kitchen provides
  • responsible for maintaining the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the kitchen
  • confirms pricing accuracy and signage for all products, paying particular attention to ad items
  • ensures the kitchen is cleaned and sanitized daily and meets the company standards for appearance
  • delivers excellent customer service to all customers
  • ordering product and creating production sheets to meet the needs of Harmons' Kitchen based on past and projected sales
  • active member of the safety committee which helps ensure the safety of both customers and associates
  • completes assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely manner
  • sets a professional and positive example to others
  • communicates openly and frequently with Store Director and Director of Kitchen Operations
  • ensures company standards for safety, sanitation, and productivity are maintained
  • teaches, mentors, and educates associates to help them be successful members of the team
  • provides honest, direct, and constant feedback to associates regarding their performance and areas of improvement
  • assesses associate performance and influences promotion, discipline, etc
  • writing the kitchen schedule to ensure coverage and meet labor goals
  • quarterly inventory of all kitchen products
