Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age, except 19 in certain states
- Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements, bend, reach, lift up to 50 pounds
- Exposure to extreme temperatures
- Ability to use tools and equipment such as knives, ladders, stepstools, box cutters, and pallet jacks
- Required to stand or walk for long periods, up to 4 hours or as legally required
- Required to wear approved hat, hair net, beard guard, and personal protective equipment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Three plus years of front of house restaurant management experience in retail, restaurant, or hospitality
- Proven oral and written communication skills
- Passion for cooking delicious, healthy, and safe food
- High standards for food quality and customer satisfaction
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal food and health department regulations
- Preferred bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Food Science, Nutrition, or Hotel/Restaurant Management
- Experience in retail, culinary, or grocery sectors
- Familiarity with production planning software
Job Duties
- Direct and assist all kitchen functions alongside the kitchen manager
- Greet and proactively assist guests with accurate and timely information
- Make product and service recommendations while accommodating guest requests
- Manage order guides and ordering deadlines for ingredients, supplies, beer, and wine
- Receive and stock goods following proper rotation standards
- Reduce product shrink and damage
- Collaborate on sourcing, selecting, hiring, and training new team members
- Build sales and profitability of the department
- Write and manage weekly team schedules to ensure guest satisfaction
- Support kitchen manager in managing sales, profitability, and margin
- Create food production schedules adhering to food safety and quality policies
- Conduct weekly inventory reviews
- Ensure cleaning schedules are followed for all cases
- Maintain merchandising standards consistent with plan-o-grams
- Ensure proper equipment maintenance and timely communication of issues
- Provide weekly operational feedback to stakeholders
- Enforce adherence to company standards and policies among team members
- Guarantee compliance with all safety requirements and food safety protocols
