Job Requirements

  • Must have current work card or permits as required by the state
  • 3-5 years experience in restaurant management
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and POS systems
  • Ability to stand for 10 to 12 hours per shift
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in hot, wet, humid, and loud environments
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Current Food Handler’s Safety Card
  • ServSafe certification
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as an assistant kitchen manager preferred
  • Knowledge of restaurant menu and food allergens
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in training and developing staff

Job Duties

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure compliance with health and sanitation standards
  • Assist with opening and closing kitchen procedures
  • Help manage ordering, inventory, and receiving supplies
  • Aid in scheduling, documentation, and paperwork
  • Support hiring and firing of kitchen staff
  • Ensure accuracy and completion of daily temperature logs
  • Monitor correct food temperatures and reheating methods
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of menu items, commissary recipes, and food allergens
  • Manage the expo station, including stock levels
  • Implement new recipes and menu items
  • Train new hires and collaborate with Training and Development teams
  • Assist with kitchen operations for catering events and parties
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen
  • Act as a leader to motivate and develop team members
