Job Requirements
- Graduation from high school or equivalent
- relevant experience in housekeeping or hotel operations
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- capacity to work indoors and outdoors
- willingness to work varying schedules and holidays
- maintain professional appearance
- comply with hotel rules and regulations
- handle hazardous materials including cleaning chemicals
- regular attendance is essential
Job Qualifications

- knowledge of housekeeping standards and procedures

Job Duties
- Inspect and evaluate the quality of services for meeting guest needs and confirming guest satisfaction
- provide input to the Housekeeping Manager and General Manager regarding hiring, scheduling, discipline, and dismissal of housekeeping employees
- plan and prepare weekly employee schedules
- schedule staff according to standards and forecasted occupancy
- assist in orientation, training, and development of employees
- maintain departmental communications through effective use of staff meetings, log books, and bulletin boards
- conduct daily and weekly inspections of rooms
- monitor and maintain level of cleanliness in rooms, suites, storage areas, laundry, rest rooms, and public areas
- enforce procedures for security of guest, employee, and hotel property
- communicate to front desk, maintenance, or admitting personnel of rooms ready for occupancy
- maintain standard procedures for security and return on guest lost and found items
- assist management with the productivity and labor cost goals established by the brand, company, and hotel
- conduct monthly inventory of linen, supplies, and equipment and provide employees with adequate supplies and operating equipment
- assist in the process of ordering and receiving supplies as necessary to maintain inventory levels and par stock
- work with management to resolve guest complaints
- maintain energy management practices, policies and procedures
- may be required to work as room attendant or in laundry as staffing needs are determined
- ensure cleanliness and tidiness of pool, fitness areas, meeting rooms and public areas
- may serve as Manager-on-Duty as required
- perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
