Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of three years experience in housekeeping or rooms department management preferably in a luxury hotel
- proven leadership abilities
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- willingness to work overnight and varying shifts
- work authorization for the United States
- physical ability to perform duties including standing and walking for extended periods
- strong organizational skills
- ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively

- familiarity with safety and emergency procedures
Job Duties
- Manage a team of room attendants and house attendants responsible for cleaning and upkeep of assigned hotel areas
- interview, train and schedule staff
- conduct performance evaluations and discipline staff when necessary
- schedule daily work and collect room and floor status sheets
- monitor daily progress of room attendants
- inspect completed rooms to ensure all standards are met and coach employees to correct deficiencies
- coordinate work orders and follow up to ensure completion
- release checkout rooms to be sold
- monitor performance of house attendants and assure sufficient supplies on guest floors
- check cleanliness of guest corridors, stairwells, elevators and linen closets
- review and monitor staff schedules
- tour the hotel frequently to ensure maintenance and upkeep
- monitor employee activities to ensure standards and guest needs are met
- resolve customer complaints with high hospitality and professionalism
- handle guest inquiries about hotel services, operations, personnel and events
- respond to guest requests accurately and promptly in person and by phone
- take action in matters related to safety, security, satisfaction and well-being of guests and employees during absence of senior managers
- respond swiftly and effectively in emergencies and safety situations
