Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education diploma
- One year experience in housekeeping operations preferred
- Three years supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to travel throughout facility
- Ability to stand and walk for six or more hours a day
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors
- Ability to comply with hotel rules and grooming standards
- Ability to work varying shifts including rotating Saturdays
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to prioritize tasks and use sound judgment
- Ability to maintain a neat and professional appearance
- Ability to report suspicious activity
- Ability to provide guest and employee safety instruction
- Patience, tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education diploma
- One year experience in housekeeping operations preferred
- Three years supervisory experience preferred
- Degree in hotel management preferred
- Prior experience in high end luxury hospitality preferred
- CPR and standard first aid certification preferred
- Ability to complete HAZCOM/MSDS training
- Ability to complete blood borne pathogen training
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to use moderately complex computer systems
- Sound judgment and organizational skills
Job Duties
- Verify guest room status is communicated to the front desk in a timely and efficient manner
- Inspect guestrooms on a daily basis
- Obtain list of rooms to be cleaned immediately and list of prospective check-outs or discharges to prepare work assignments
- Inventory stock to verify adequate supplies
- Support and supervise an effective inspection program for all guestrooms and public space
- Manage daily housekeeping shift operations and verify compliance with policies, standards and procedures
- Participate in departmental meetings and communicate departmental goals
- Use sound judgment and prioritize work
- Communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
- Ensure all employees have proper supplies, equipment and uniforms
- Follow up on areas needing attention
