Job Requirements

  • Work authorization in the United States required
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in housekeeping or hotel management
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • strong organizational skills
  • physical ability to inspect rooms and stand for extended periods
  • commitment to delivering excellent guest service

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in housekeeping management or a similar leadership role

  • excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • experience with staff training and performance evaluation
  • attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards
  • ability to handle conflict and disciplinary actions professionally
  • knowledge of hospitality industry standards and operations

Job Duties

  • Manage a shift of housekeeping staff to ensure guest rooms and public areas are cleaned to exacting standards
  • oversee a team of room attendants and house attendants responsible for cleaning and upkeep of specific hotel areas
  • interview, train, and schedule housekeeping staff
  • conduct performance evaluations and discipline staff when needed
  • schedule daily work and collect room and floor status sheets
  • monitor daily progress of each room attendant
  • inspect completed rooms to ensure standards are met and coach employees to correct deficiencies
  • coordinate work orders and follow up on completion
  • release checkout rooms to be sold
  • monitor performance of house attendants
  • ensure sufficient supplies are available on guest floors
  • check cleanliness of guest corridors, stairwells, elevators, and linen closets
