Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Minimum two years experience in event coordination, assistant house or patron service management, or volunteer coordination
- Knowledge and ability to work with volunteers
- Knowledge of house management operations
- Computer literate in word processing and data manipulation software
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
- Availability to work evenings and weekends
- Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift up to 20 pounds
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Two-year college degree in Theatre, Arts, Business, or Administration preferred
- Minimum two years experience as an event coordinator, assistant house or patron service manager, or assistant volunteer coordinator
- Knowledge of house management operations
- Experience working with volunteers
- Computer literacy in word processing and data manipulation software
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Skilled in customer service
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to work without close supervision
Job Duties
- Assist the House Manager with front-of-house operations for all events and venues
- Coordinate and supervise the volunteer usher corps
- Enforce all policies of the Eisemann Center
- Perform intermission procedures and assist with house opening
- Ensure public lobby, restroom, and seating areas are clean and free of obstruction prior to events
- Act as liaison to clients and other departments in the House Manager’s absence
- Complete and distribute House Manager reports after performances
- Recruit, train, schedule, and coordinate volunteers
- Arrange storage, delivery, and distribution of event programs
- Operate computer software for word processing and data management
- Work evenings, weekends, and flexible hours
- Stand and walk for extended periods and lift/carry materials up to 20 pounds
