The role of Assistant Golf Professional is vital within this esteemed club setting. The Assistant Golf Professional manages and supervises all aspects of the golf operations to maintain the highest degree of customer satisfaction and seamless operational flow. This entails managing the golf shop retail environment, overseeing the bag room operations for members, and coordinating golf instruction by appointment. The role also extends to supervising golf cart maintenance and ensuring the correct management of the tee sheet, including price adjustments based on demand, showcasing a strong command of operational and business aspects of the golf facility.

Additionally, the Assistant Golf Professional is tasked with managing the driving range and practice areas, working closely with the club to ensure these facilities meet the standards of first-class clubs. The role requires adeptness in configuring and operating the club's chosen computer applications, particularly those used for tournament scoring and event management, highlighting the technological component of the position. Beyond operational duties, the Assistant Golf Professional actively participates in planning, organizing, and overseeing golf tournaments and special golf-related events. This includes coordinating with kitchen and house management teams to ensure integrated event services and maintaining detailed accounting and reporting related to golf shop sales, club services, cart rentals, green fees, and golf outings.

Maintaining a Professional Golfers' Association (PGA) certification is a mandatory aspect of this role, emphasizing professional standards and continuous development in golf expertise.
