Job Requirements

  • minimum bachelor's degree in related field
  • two years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • knowledge of golf course operations and point-of-sale systems
  • excellent oral and written communication skills
  • ability to diffuse and resolve conflicts effectively
  • experience in golf retail and food service operations
  • proficiency in event coordination and inventory management
  • willingness to comply with background check and health requirements
  • ability to work full time with a 9-month schedule
  • location in New Haven, Connecticut

Job Qualifications

  • knowledge of golf facility operations including tee sheets and clubhouse management
  • experience with golf course point-of-sale systems
  • strong oral and written communication skills
  • ability to manage and resolve conflict
  • experience in golf retail operations and food service management
  • proficiency in inventory control and event planning

Job Duties

  • assist general manager with daily golf course operations including staff management and customer service
  • oversee point-of-sale, cart barn, pro shop and food and beverage operations
  • train casual wage staff and plan daily assignments
  • address customer complaints and resolve issues
  • manage tee time scheduling and event planning including tournaments and group outings
  • monitor expenses and revenues to drive financial performance
  • develop and implement operational policies and procedures
  • ensure compliance with university, NCAA, Ivy League and PGA regulations
  • manage inventory control and purchasing
  • foster positive relationships within golf community and university departments
  • assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
