Job Duties

  • Deliver exceptional guest service personally
  • respond to guests in a friendly and positive manner
  • address guest needs and concerns proactively and effectively
  • set a strong example for associates through exemplary guest service
  • work with hotel team to maintain guest satisfaction scores that meet or exceed brand standards
  • resolve guest complaints and employee issues
  • work with sales team to ensure needs of negotiated accounts and groups are met
  • communicate client needs to appropriate hotel staff
  • perform sales calls and property tours when necessary
  • train guest service associates to pass on leads and referrals to sales team
  • manage expenses according to budgeted/forecasted guidelines to maximize hotel profitability
  • effectively manage labor through scheduling and monitoring payroll
  • adjust expenditures according to fluctuating business needs
  • interview, hire, coach, and develop hotel associates in conjunction with the General Manager
  • prepare and conduct annual employee reviews
  • address performance issues and take corrective action
  • motivate hotel staff by setting goals, providing ongoing feedback, and rewarding employees
  • utilize HR software to review and approve timesheets, enter new hires, employee changes, and terminations timely
  • perform functions of the General Manager in their absence
  • perform various other duties as assigned
