Job Requirements
- 1-2 years experience managing in a full-service environment
- Experience managing multiple venues
- Training and certification in safe food handling
- California driver's license required upon hire
- ServSafe certification required within 90 days of employment
- RBS certification required within 90 days
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Flexibility to work any shift, any day, and long hours when necessary
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to supervise hourly and exempt staff
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business administration or related field preferred
- 1-2 years managing in a full-service environment required
- Experience managing multiple venues required
- Experience working with represented labor union preferred
- Training and certification in safe food handling required
- ServSafe certification within 90 days
- RBS certification within 90 days
- Effective customer relations skills
- Effective leadership skills
- Ability to motivate and train full-service and café restaurant staff
- Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals or teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in point of sale register systems and reporting
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
Job Duties
- Manage front-of-house restaurant team including hiring, scheduling, payroll, training, mentoring and performance management
- Develop and administer training and incentive programs
- Collaborate with retail department on menu concepts and operational efficiencies
- Oversee inventory activities including food, beverage, and dry goods
- Manage employee cash control and register functions
- Administer and manage budgets to meet revenue, cost of goods, labor and supply objectives
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, food safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
- Conduct safety training, inspections and maintain documentation
- Support restaurant alignment with sustainability and conservation initiatives
