Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant management experience
- Valid Food Handlers certificate
- Valid Alcohol Service Permit if required
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in an event-driven environment
- Proficiency in computer systems relevant to the role
- Availability for variable schedule including evenings and weekends
- Authorization to work legally in the country
- Commitment to uphold high ethical standards
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred
- Minimum 5 years management experience in food service or concessions
- Concessions Manager Certificate from the National Association of Concessionaires
- Advanced food service sanitation certification
- Strong communication skills to foster a positive work environment
- Ability to make sound business decisions under pressure
- Proficiency in English reading, writing, and speaking
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, POS systems, and timekeeping software
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Thorough knowledge of venue concessions and premium services operations
- Valid Food Handlers certificate and Alcohol Service Permit as required
- Familiarity with inventory control and menu planning
- Comprehensive understanding of sanitation, safety, and alcohol service policies
- Competence in handling complex math functions
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Ability to work independently
Job Duties
- Assists in the overall effective management of the catering operations
- Ensures total compliance with all alcohol service policies and monitors alcohol service throughout events
- Assists in the management of catered events from set-up to tear down, including communication with staff, culinary teams, and guests
- Ensures legal, efficient, professional, and profitable operation of the venue
- Generates and reviews financial reports including budgets, forecasts, and profit and loss statements
- Handles conflict resolution, mediation, arbitration, and labor negotiations when necessary
- Authors, reviews, and amends policies, procedures, and contracts as directed by the General Manager
- Oversees scheduling and labor allocation
- Analyzes ticket sales and staffing needs
- Evaluates sales and purchasing data to identify purchasing patterns and control costs
- Programs and maintains the point of sale system
- Directs and assists managers with future goal setting
- Inspects operations regularly to maintain quality standards
- Prepares timely and accurate reports
- Develops and supports an effective management team
- Assists in evaluating management performance and recommends improvements
- Reviews menu and marketing plans with department heads
- Establishes and maintains positive relationships with show managers, suppliers, and the public
