Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • college degree or equivalent experience required
  • 3-5 plus years of progressive hotel management experience
  • strong leadership skills
  • ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Assist and respond to guests in a friendly and positive fashion while providing the highest level of service
  • address guest needs and concerns proactively and effectively
  • set a strong example for other associates through exemplary guest service
  • work with sales team to ensure needs of negotiated accounts and groups are met
  • communicate the needs of clients as identified on Group Resumes and BEO’s to appropriate hotel staff
  • take sales calls or perform walk in tours when necessary
  • encourage Guest Services Associates to pass on leads and referrals to the Sales Team
  • identify potential obstacles to exemplary service with the General Manager
  • suggest ideas to maximize guest satisfaction scores
  • communicate results from guest satisfaction surveys with hotel team and address needs and trends
  • maintain guest satisfaction scores within acceptable brand range
  • manage expenses according to budgeted/forecasted guidelines
  • manage effective labor scheduling and payroll monitoring
  • adjust expenditures according to business needs
  • utilize CSM procurement system and adhere to vendor network
  • assist with accounting tasks following Internal Accounting Audit procedures
  • manage and maintain company assets within budget guidelines
  • assist with ongoing training and development of hotel associates
  • ensure effective new hire training processes
  • implement CSM and brand training initiatives
  • interview, hire, coach and develop hotel associates
  • prepare and conduct annual employee reviews
  • address performance issues and take corrective actions
  • motivate hotel staff by setting goals and providing feedback
  • address improvement areas highlighted by Associate Opinion Survey
  • promote fair treatment and open door policies
  • manage self and workload effectively adjusting to business needs
  • demonstrate clear and effective communication skills
  • promote a productive and collaborative work environment
  • provide clear direction to hotel team
  • lead daily team meetings and weekly/monthly departmental/hotel meetings
  • lead and participate in monthly Safety Committee Meetings

  • complete incident reports and follow up appropriately
