Job Requirements
- Must be able to favorably represent the hotel to guests and community
- Operational knowledge of all hotel phases
- Special knowledge of budget and accounting
- Sales procedures
- Proper selection, development and motivation of personnel skills
- Required ability to lift, bend, move heavy equipment and stand for extended periods
- Good communication skills
- Spanish speaking a plus
- Team oriented and dedicated to excellent service
- Each team member considered a salesperson
- Must be able to work any day including weekends and holidays
- May be asked to use personal vehicle for business
- Must possess and maintain valid Food Handler Card as required by local regulations
Job Qualifications

- Skills in personnel selection, development and motivation
- CHA designation preferred
- Responsible for maintaining high employee morale and a qualified staff
- Directly responsible for materials, products, inventory and cost objectives
- Responsible for hotel equipment, building and furnishings
- Responsible for all revenues, accounts receivable and cash handling
- Good communication skills
- Spanish speaking skills a plus
- Team oriented and dedicated to excellent service
- Ability to work any day including weekends and holidays
- Possess and maintain a valid Food Handler Card as required
Job Duties
- Promotes company mission, vision and core values
- Assists in developing operating budgets
- Sell potential guests both within the hotel and outside the hotel
- Meets and greets convention officers and VIPs
- Creates and implements a marketing plan
- Inspects at least 10 rooms per week for quality standards
- Analyzes operations and meets with department heads
- Selects and trains department heads
- Observes and improves department head performance
- Counsels employees and promotes morale
- Delegates work responsibilities
- Participates in sales, forecasting, quality control and safety meetings
- Prepares reports and analyzes strategies
- Prepares annual capital improvements list
- Studies employee work assignments and manages payroll
- Approves overtime and maintains employee files
- Controls other expenses and checks approvals
- Inspects property for safety and sanitation
- Obtains competitive rate information
- Communicates with Area Manager and home office executives
- Adheres to all company policies and brand standards
- Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs
