Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, hospitality, or related field or equivalent combination of education and practical experience
- minimum of three years’ experience overseeing food and beverage operations or event management in a fast-paced environment
- must have or obtain NYC Food Protection Certificate
- strong creative aptitude, interpersonal, and analytical skills
- ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- adaptability to daily changes
- excellent organizational and planning skills with the ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks, and delegate effectively
- receptiveness to constructive criticism and operational adjustments
- ability to perform under pressure while maintaining professionalism
- flexibility to work traditional and non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- proficiency in data processing and Microsoft Office Suite applications
- knowledge and effective operational experience with retail point-of-sale (POS) systems

Job Duties
- Oversee front-of-house operations across six sailing vessels and one cafe within the venue
- manage a team of 150+ part-time and seasonal employees
- oversee setup and breakdown of special events ensuring alignment with client requests and proper execution
- review banquet event orders for chartered events and group sales for accuracy
- prioritize operational needs across multiple locations
- support General Manager with tasks assigned by client’s Sales and Marketing teams
- maintain service standards through evaluations and addressing customer concerns
- enforce high quality of food preparation and service in accordance with Department of Health standards
- implement and maintain effective communication with clients and employees
- ensure compliance with company service standards, inventory management, and cash handling procedures
- conduct physical audits of inventory and product, perform research and reconciliations
- manage monthly safety reporting and audits
- carry out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, training, appraising performance, rewarding, disciplining employees, and resolving complaints
