Job Requirements

  • Be self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Strong work ethic and desire to succeed
  • Knowledge of MSI operating system a plus
  • Must be flexible and able to work split or fill-in shifts
  • Clean background check
  • Reliable transportation
  • Minimum of two years hotel front desk supervisory experience or four plus years hotel front desk operations
  • Must possess solid basic accounting and math skills
  • Comfortable with computers
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Minimum associates degree

Job Duties

  • Manage all operations of the front desk and guest services including staff training, meetings and shift scheduling
  • Tend to customer complaints and queries in a pleasant and levelheaded manner
  • Maintain working relationships and communicate with all departments
  • Verify accurate room status information is maintained and properly communicated
  • Update group information, maintain, monitor and prepare group requirements
  • Work within the allocated budget for the front office
  • Enforce all cash-handling and credit policies
  • Uphold the hotel’s commitment to hospitality
  • Maximize room revenue and occupancy by reviewing status daily and monitoring credit reports
  • Ensure employees are attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to guests, managers and other employees
  • Maintain required pars for all front office and stationary supplies
  • Monitor guest service scores daily
  • Be knowledgeable of hotel property and in-house events
  • Be aware of area events and businesses
  • Work all aspects of the front office, reservations system, PBX, check-in and check-out procedures
  • Provide guests with information about hotel policies and amenities
  • Manage the Preventative Maintenance program ensuring paperwork is submitted on time
