Job Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in hospitality management or business or three years of experience in hospitality industry including at least one year in a supervisory role
  • basic accounting knowledge including profit and loss statements and labor and cost control
  • prior cash handling experience
  • prior customer service experience
  • experience working with computers and operating keyboards
  • must pass criminal background check
  • valid driver license with DMV record acceptable to be insured driver on employer's insurance policy

Job Duties

  • Assist the hotel GM in developing short- and long-term operating plans
  • ensure compliance with hotel's policies and procedures
  • demonstrate positive leadership characteristics to inspire team members
  • investigate and resolve guests' quality and service complaints
  • select, train, supervise, develop, schedule, discipline, and counsel team members
  • conduct performance evaluations
  • monitor payroll hours and reports
  • assign duties and inspect work
  • apply company handbook and employment and labor laws fairly
  • coordinate with hotel GM and Maintenance on repair and maintenance
  • maintain lost and found log
  • complete reports and paperwork such as forecasts, budgets, and plans
  • schedule and conduct departmental meetings
  • report unsafe conditions immediately
  • complete all duties assigned by hotel GM
  • maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality
  • treat others with respect and encourage teamwork
