Job Requirements

  • Minimum age of 18 years
  • Ability to pass criminal and motor vehicle background checks
  • Ability to pass drug screening tests
  • Ability to meet airport security badge requirements
  • Must be insurable under company insurance policies
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Comfortable working near active aircraft and ground service equipment
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Must pass company onboarding processes
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Ability to physically operate motor vehicles and ground support equipment

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three to five years related experience or training
  • One to two years aviation or cargo operations experience
  • One to two years experience managing a team
  • Trained or able to be trained for certifications such as towing and deicing
  • Legal authorization to work in the employment jurisdiction
  • Valid state driver's license
  • Commercial driver's license preferred based on location
  • Excellent vision and coordination
  • Ability to pass color vision test
  • Leadership skills including task assignment, feedback, and motivation
  • Strong hospitality skills with guest service focus
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Basic financial knowledge including budget and P&L
  • Competency in Microsoft Office and company software
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and multitasking skills
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities

Job Duties

  • Oversee all business functions of the private aviation terminal including service delivery, equipment and maintenance, facility condition, and staffing
  • Collaborate with General Manager to maintain and develop new business
  • Ensure compliance with all company, local, state, federal, and airport regulations
  • Act as liaison with airport community
  • Manage and direct subordinate leaders and team members including scheduling, coordination, and conducting meetings
  • Administer time and attendance and process new team members
  • Lead safe and efficient base operations according to policies and procedures
  • Manage team member performance and corrective actions
  • Interview, onboard, train, and engage team members
  • Ensure completion of all airline-required training
  • Serve as resource and escalation point for guest service matters
  • Provide business development support and relationship management
  • Maintain knowledge of company facilities, services, and guest information
  • Collaborate with team members, guests, and visitors for professional service
  • Perform ramp operations as needed
  • Proactively prepare for aircraft arrivals/departures and address safety concerns
  • Assist in regulatory compliance, audits, and reporting
  • Manage inventory pursuant to procurement policies
  • Maintain security of premises including parking, terminal, and AOA
  • Oversee ground service equipment and facility maintenance
  • Maintain safe, clean, and secure ramps and operations
  • Conduct accident investigations and reporting
  • Administer health, safety, security, and environmental software
  • Oversee fuel quality control
  • Enforce all operational, safety, and guest service requirements
  • Stop unsafe work conditions when necessary
  • Follow emergency response procedures
  • Enforce physical, cyber, and data security protocols
  • Maintain accurate records and payroll oversight as applicable
