Job Qualifications
- At least 5-6 years progressive experience in hotel management
- Bachelor’s degree preferred

- Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions

Job Duties
- Plays a pivotal role in hotel sales efforts including calling on top accounts and hosting events
- Tours operating departments daily and makes necessary adjustments via department heads
- Conducts weekly staff meetings and training sessions following Highgate standards
- Meets all financial review dates and corporate program requirements timely
- Holds monthly financial review meetings with department managers and supervisors
- Ensures budgeted productivity levels and proper accounting procedures by department heads
- Develops managers through competency training and corporate sponsored programs
- Participates in required management on duty (M.O.D.) coverage
- Maintains contact and monitors management trainee development
- Adheres to and enforces Highgate policies and procedures
- Assists in hotel budget process
- Ensures service standards training compliance across departments
- Cultivates a positive team environment focused on guest satisfaction
- Conducts regular inspections of rooms with Housekeeping Manager and Property Engineer
- Processes invoices daily through accounts payable
- Submits financial documents monthly to Corporate Office
- Maintains cleanliness and property maintenance via inspections and preventive programs
- Ensures employee attentiveness and courteous interactions with guests and staff
- Forecasts monthly hotel financial position and analyzes data for accuracy
- Conducts management interviews and adheres to hiring standards
- Performs Executive Committee performance appraisals and monitors compliance
- Provides motivation, coaching, counseling, and discipline for management personnel
- Performs additional duties as assigned by higher management
- Guarantees fair and equitable treatment for all employees
- Engages with clients on-property to support sales efforts
- Greets guests during peak times and offers assistance
- Maintains hotel safe security and monthly audits
- Conducts monthly credit meetings and enforces credit policies
