Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or high school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of Assistant General Manager experience or three years of related experience
- Proficiency in computer applications and email communication
- Experience with hotel information systems
- Strong operational leadership skills
- Ability to interact effectively with multiple stakeholders including corporate staff and ownership
- Ability to balance strategic and hands-on operational responsibilities
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with at least one year of related Assistant General Manager experience or high school diploma with at least three years of related experience
- Proficient computer skills including effective email communication and data analysis
- Experience with hotel information systems such as Opera and M3
- Solid operational management experience within a select service or extended stay property
- Strong understanding of financial, forecasting, HR, and accounting functions
- Exceptional leadership and team development skills
- Ability to manage in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
Job Duties
- Provide strong support and leadership to the General Manager in upholding hotel brand standards to enhance guest satisfaction
- Execute all accounts receivable and payable duties within the first 30 days
- Familiarize and manage all HR processes, including new hire onboarding, within the first 30 days
- Develop and implement staff optimization plans ensuring all leaders and staff understand their roles and deliver exceptional service
- Balance strategic planning with hands-on operational execution on the hotel floor
- Foster team cohesion and maximize the potential of all direct reports
- Collaborate with the Hotel General Manager, corporate staff, and ownership groups to achieve business objectives
