Job Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- capable of lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally
- bending, stooping, lifting, pulling occasionally
- capacity to work for extended periods in a noisy environment
- strong business acumen
- bachelor’s degree in marketing, sports management, business or related field preferred or at least 1 year management experience in recreational or sports facility
- proven leadership and team management skills
- strong financial management skills
- excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal abilities
- customer service-oriented
- knowledge of pickleball rules and industry trends
- proficient in Google Suite, Slack and facility management software
Job Qualifications
- Strong business acumen with the ability to make decisions and implement overall business goals
- bachelor’s degree in marketing, sports management, business or a related field (preferred) or minimum of 1 year of management experience in a recreational or sports facility setting
- proven leadership and team management skills
- strong financial management skills
- excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal abilities
- customer service-oriented
- knowledge of pickleball rules, regulations and industry trends with a passion to continue to grow as a leader and a player
- connections with local businesses, pickleballers and potential partners
- proficient in Google Suite, Slack and facility management software
- 1-2+ years of playing pickleball (bonus)
- successful completion of a background check may be required
Job Duties
- Grow new and existing revenue streams (open play, court reservations, etc.)
- develop new products and offerings based on demand from customers (tournaments, clinics, leagues, etc.)
- source corporate events, sponsorships and partnerships
- create a strategy to generate leads through warm outreach, post free content, cold outreach and paid ads
- email members and post on social media about upcoming events on a daily basis
- identify potential customers via networking, outreach and marketing
- convert leads into memberships, bookings or lessons
- post on social media daily with information updates, feature highlights, tips and tricks from coaching staff, promotion of upcoming events and sessions, and highlighting members in the community
- run the front desk maintaining positive relationships with members and addressing concerns promptly and professionally
- oversee court scheduling, tournament planning and event coordination
- oversee staffing and logistics of tournaments and events
- oversee staff training, scheduling and performance
- implement and ensure adherence to company safety protocols, cleanliness standards and facility maintenance
- manage inventory, supplies and equipment ensuring adequate stock levels and timely replenishment
- evaluate vendors as needed
- approve payroll in a timely manner and assign internal bonuses as needed (nice to have)
