Job Requirements

  • education in hospitality management or related field preferred
  • previous experience in hotel management or similar role
  • demonstrated leadership and team management skills
  • strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • proficiency with computer and brand operating systems
  • ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • commitment to uphold company standards, policies and guest service excellence
  • ability to comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations

Job Duties

  • Drive Converge Hospitality culture personifying it in daily interactions with both guests and associates
  • lead operations of housekeeping, maintenance, sales, and front desk to maximize financial performance and guest satisfaction while upholding brand standards
  • ensure all departments are profitable and maintain strong working relationships
  • delegate authority and assign responsibility to managers and supervisors and supervise departmental work activities
  • ensure direct report staff receive proper training including safety and standard operating procedures
  • conduct regular department meetings
  • manage human resources functions by controlling turnover, motivating employees, focusing on development and retention
  • provide mentoring, coaching and feedback for conflict management and performance improvement
  • manage sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, culture training and ongoing team development
  • respond to guest requests and complaints timely and appropriately
  • assist in creating and ensuring a strategic business plan that defines operational goals and profitability
  • participate in sales efforts and interact with external stakeholders including clients, community leaders and suppliers
  • assist General Manager with budget, forecasting and P&L critique
  • maintain professional image
  • follow company policies and communicate them effectively
  • operate in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
  • perform other duties as assigned
