Job Requirements
- Minimum age requirement is 18
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required
- State or county mandated Food Handler Card required within the allotted time
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Ability to work scheduled 50-hour work weeks including weekdays, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook
- 1 - 3 years of entry-level leadership or management experience
- Proven leadership competencies
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Effective conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Ability to speak, understand, read, and write in English
- Ability to teach job functions
- Comfortable in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Physically able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds
- Exposure to cleaning solvents and fumes in the restaurant environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- 1 - 3 years of entry-level leadership or management experience in a restaurant or customer service environment
- Proven track record with core leadership competencies based on management competency models
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills including writing, speaking, and listening
- Effective conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and teach job functions to diverse audiences
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and manage multiple tasks
- Food safety certification such as ServSafe preferred
Job Duties
- Contribute to the planning and execution of strategic short- and long-term business goals, including profitability
- Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies to drive revenue growth and meet business objectives
- Help control costs and manage budgets, including labor, food and beverage, and operating expenses
- Participate in selection, onboarding, orientation, and training of new team members
- Provide ongoing training and development for existing restaurant team members
- Ensure effective productivity of daily operations and maintain high-quality food and beverage standards
- Manage record keeping, ordering, receiving, inventory, sales procedures, cash management, and team member deployment
- Lead with and maintain a positive and professional image in the restaurant and community
- Follow and enforce company policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance
- Accept and accurately process payments using the cash register operating system
- Ensure sales are processed according to policy
- Maintain safe combinations for cash handling and making drops
- Investigate sales, cash, or operating discrepancies
- Follow all food safety standards and procedures, ensuring corrective actions and records for temperature logs and control points
- Hold and safeguard keys, open and close restaurants following security procedures
- Provide a safe working environment for all team members
- Immediately notify supervisors of any guest or employee accidents
- Protect assets without risking personal safety
- Practice safe work habits and report unsafe conditions
- Read and follow Safety Data Sheets instructions and labeling
- Perform other duties as assigned
