Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in restaurant management or related field
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Valid food handler certification
  • Knowledge of local health safety and alcohol laws
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including holidays
  • Proficiency in computer and point of sale systems

Job Duties

  • Promote work and act in a manner consistent with the mission of Big City Wings
  • Effectively delegate work manage timelines and meet deadlines
  • Ensure that all restaurant policies procedures standards specifications guidelines and training programs are followed and completed on time
  • Monitor compliance with health and fire regulations regarding food preparation serving and building maintenance
  • Achieve company objectives in sales service quality appearance and sanitation through employee training and positive work environment
  • Monitor food preparation methods portion sizes and food presentation
  • Ensure compliance with all federal state county and municipal regulations regarding health safety alcohol sales and labor
  • Control cash and receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures
  • Count money and make bank deposits
  • Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality service or accommodations
  • Coordinate assignments of cooking personnel for economical use of food and timely preparation
  • Ensure products are received in correct count and condition following receiving policies
  • Review financial statements sales or activity reports to measure productivity and identify cost reductions
  • Schedule and receive food and beverage deliveries verifying quality and quantity
  • Monitor budgets payroll records and financial transactions for authorization and budgeting
  • Maintain food and equipment inventories and records
  • Schedule staff hours and assign duties
  • Establish standards for personnel performance and customer service
  • Perform food preparation or service tasks when necessary
  • Plan weekly management activities for consistency and development
  • Keep records for sanitation and food subsidies required by government agencies
  • Test cooked food for palatability and flavor conformity
  • Organize training programs resolve personnel problems and evaluate employee performance
  • Administer corrective actions for policy violations
  • Develop staff in managerial and professional areas
  • Order and purchase supplies
  • Review work procedures and operational issues for improvements
  • Assess staffing needs and recruit staff
  • Arrange equipment maintenance and services such as waste removal and pest control
  • Track item sales to determine popularity and profitability
  • Create the best game day atmosphere
  • Attend management meetings and suggest improvements
  • Coordinate with and assist employees to meet guest needs
  • Fill in for employees to maintain service standards
  • Communicate with team and management via email text or verbally
  • Maintain food handler TABC and all paperwork digitally
  • Move tables chairs and highchairs to accommodate guests
  • Carry trays from kitchen to front counter dining room or parking lot
  • Refill ice bins beverages clean restrooms bus tables and perform other functions as needed
  • Must work standing for long periods up to 10 hours
  • Must reach bend stoop and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Monitor employee and guest activities to ensure alcohol regulations are obeyed
  • Schedule use of facilities or catering services for events and negotiate details
  • Develop and implement restaurant marketing advertising and promotional activities
  • Estimate food liquor wine and beverage consumption for purchasing
  • Promote and sample limited time offer menu items
  • Monitor delivery tablets and funds added to POS
  • Take dining reservations and catering orders
