Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Assist the General Manager with market analyses including competitor rates and local market forecasts
  • Support sales efforts as directed by the General Manager
  • Train and inform front desk staff on rate structures, revenue management, and promotional sales techniques
  • Use the revenue management system to maximize revenue
  • Prepare and conduct training sessions for staff using various instructional methods
  • Manage departmental costs by scheduling labor and controlling expenses
  • Protect company financial assets by administering policies for financial transactions
  • Train hotel staff on guest service procedures and handling dissatisfied guests
  • Personally handle difficult guest situations and manage service guarantee procedures
  • Recruit, select, train, and manage employees to meet revenue and profit goals
  • Administer human resources policies, payroll, and fair employee treatment
  • Conduct wage surveys to maintain competitive wages
  • Lead with adherence to company policies, ethics, and conduct standards
  • Maintain physical condition of hotel assets to ensure quality control standards
  • Act as manager on duty during General Manager absence
  • Handle front desk operations proficiently and provide leadership by example
  • Maintain supply levels and purchase order procedures
  • Coordinate collections efforts on past due accounts
  • Approve time cards for front desk and food & beverage staff
  • Report reliably and maintain professional appearance
