Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Administration, Business Administration or related field preferred
  • Three years of relevant hotel management experience preferred
  • Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic mathematical knowledge and budgeting experience
  • Strong problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, and training skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Opera systems preferred
  • Ability to travel including some overnight travel
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to stand, bend, climb, kneel, and move frequently
  • Exposure to commercial cleaning chemicals
  • Ability to lift or carry items up to 50 pounds
  • Capability to handle objects and equipment
  • Willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Administration, Business Administration or related field preferred
  • Three years of experience in roles such as Front Office Manager, Operations Manager, Assistant General Manager, or Director of Sales in extended stay hotels preferred
  • Proficient in English with effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic mathematical skills including budgeting and profit/loss analysis
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Opera systems preferred
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership abilities
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple work assignments
  • Valid driver’s license

Job Duties

  • Deliver on the promise of Sonesta Service in all guest interactions
  • Manage front office, housekeeping, and food and beverage operations
  • Assist with direct sales activities in partnership with sales teams
  • Manage seasonal demand and revenue strategies jointly with revenue management
  • Establish and implement service recovery guidelines for guest satisfaction
  • Oversee property maintenance and appearance with the Maintenance Manager
  • Develop and monitor operational and capital budgets with the General Manager
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service laws
  • Act as Manager on duty as required
  • Collaborate with HR, IT, and Procurement to manage associate programs and resources
