Job Requirements
- Ability to work shifts during various operating days and hours each week including opening, busy day parts, and closing
- Knowledge of all applicable federal, state and local sanitary, safety and health standards
- Compliance with HACCP procedures and protocols
- Minimum of 6 years food and beverage experience
- Minimum of 4 years supervisory or lead experience
- Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
- Must be able to work a varied and rotating schedule
- Availability to monitor restaurant associates’ work activities
- Position classified as exempt under Fair Labor Standards Act
- Typically reports to General Manager, Director of Operations, or intermediate F&B Multi Unit Manager I.
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years food and beverage experience
- Minimum of 4 years supervisory or lead experience in casual dine restaurant or production kitchen
- Excellent reading and comprehension skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with associates and customers
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local sanitary, safety and health standards
- Experience in cash handling
- Ability to work varied and rotating schedules including opening, busy day parts, and closing shifts
- Familiarity with HACCP standards.
Job Duties
- Completes opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies/procedures
- Assists the General Manager/F&B Multi Unit Manager I in managing by supervising day-to-day activities of associates within the restaurant or points-of-sale
- Interviews job candidates, makes hiring, termination, advancement, promotion or other status change decisions for associates
- Promotes HMSHost as an employer of choice within the local community
- Reads and understands financial and operational data and reports to monitor progress towards unit goals and assigns associates to meet those objectives
- Uses judgment and discretion to resolve customer and associate questions and problems, referring complex issues to senior leaders as needed
- Ensures compliance with company adult beverage policies and that all staff understand and follow procedures
- Prepares schedules, assigns work tasks, and ensures all shifts are covered
- Ensures associates take mandated rest breaks and meal periods
- Maintains display areas clean, stocked and visually appealing
- Ensures equipment is in good working order
- Operates cash register and voids transactions following cash handling policies
- Monitors compliance with wellness and safety procedures, reporting concerns to the General Manager
- Places orders, receives goods, and processes invoices
- Maintains up-to-date contact information for all associates.
