Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus at least one year of related Assistant General Manager experience or high school diploma or equivalent plus at least three years of related experience
  • Computer skills required with ability to communicate effectively via email and manipulate data from spreadsheets and databases
  • Experience with hotel information systems
  • Must have solid operations manager experience within a select service and/or extended stay property
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on operational execution
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to foster team cohesion
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced hotel environment

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or high school diploma with equivalent experience
  • Strong leadership and operational management skills
  • Experience in hotel information systems such as Opera and M3
  • Proven ability to develop and manage teams
  • Excellent communication and computer skills including email and data management
  • Previous experience in select service or extended stay property management

Job Duties

  • Provide strong support to the General Manager in maintaining and furthering hotel brand standards to heighten guest satisfaction
  • Execute accounts receivable and payable duties within the first 30 days
  • Familiarize and manage human resources processes including new hire onboarding within the first 30 days
  • Develop staff optimization plans for all leaders and staff to ensure mission alignment and exceptional service delivery
  • Collaborate with hotel General Manager, key leaders, corporate staff, and ownership groups as necessary
  • Balance strategic planning with hands-on operational execution in a fast-paced environment
  • Drive market share growth through acquisition of new business and retention of existing market segments
