Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have a valid Driver's License
  • Must meet legal age requirements to serve alcoholic beverages at select properties
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree preferred
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Progressive experience in hospitality, hotel, restaurant, or service industry preferred
  • Must work varied schedules including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be proficient in Windows operating systems and approved spreadsheets and word processing software
  • Must be able to handle stressful and high-pressure situations with composure
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English
  • Must be attentive to detail and meet deadlines
  • Must be willing to learn and have a positive attitude
  • Must be able to evaluate and decide quickly and accurately
  • Must be able to listen and resolve conflicts
  • Must possess basic financial skills
  • Must be committed to hospitality and guest service excellence

Job Duties

  • Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile
  • Use guests' names whenever possible to make them feel welcomed
  • Work collaboratively to ensure high guest satisfaction scores
  • Handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and urgency
  • Maintain strong knowledge of hotel facilities and amenities
  • Support groups and events at the hotel
  • Utilize relevant technology for role responsibilities
  • Answer incoming calls with friendly, approved greetings
  • Ensure all workspaces are clean and well-organized
  • Participate in cleaning guest rooms and public spaces as needed
  • Greet guests warmly while performing cleaning duties
  • Complete all operational checklists accurately and on time
  • Prepare accurate shift handover reports
  • Wear clean, approved uniform and maintain grooming standards
  • Communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally with team members
  • Demonstrate a can-do attitude by going beyond traditional roles
  • Collaborate with all team members to create a welcoming environment
  • Conduct daily walkthroughs of guest rooms and public spaces
  • Provide one-on-one training to new team members on service and checklist expectations
  • Supervise guest service during peak check-in, check-out, and meal periods
  • Foster a positive culture of happy team members and guests
  • Verify adherence to cleanliness standards through room inspections
  • Assist with inventory counts as directed by General Manager
  • Support onboarding processes for new team members
  • Review team member time clock punches for accuracy
  • Complete daily summary and night audit processes
  • Manage purchase order process and invoice signoff
  • Oversee adherence to brand Quality Assurance standards
  • Ensure fire and life safety inspections are current and address deficiencies
  • Escalate service or delivery failures appropriately
  • Confirm preventative maintenance tasks are completed
  • Ensure team members follow established work schedules
  • Provide shift coverage for department head positions when necessary
