Job Requirements
- availability to work up to 45-50 hours per week including evenings and weekends
- ability to drive and manage or influence workplace change
- comfortable working in front- and back-of-house roles
- move throughout the resort for extended periods
- lift up to 50 lbs for short distances
- balance and move up to 25 lbs over longer distances
- ability to respond to requests in a loud environment
- perform basic math and understand finances
- bend, stoop, and reach as required
- project a professional image through dress code, demeanor, and language
Job Qualifications
- high school degree or equivalent
- bachelor’s degree equivalent education and experience
- minimum 2-4 years customer service experience
- leadership experience is a plus
- proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and point of sale software
- valid Driver’s License and current insurance including comprehensive and collision coverage
- experience in restaurant, retail, veterinary management, or hospitality preferred
- ability to work evenings and weekends
- bilingual skills a plus
Job Duties
- understands and communicates the company’s mission, values, and objectives
- assists the GM in providing leadership and communication for all site aspects including financial management, customer service, pet care, and team management
- assists the GM in developing and implementing sales strategies including lead management and conversion tactics
- creates plans to drive and achieve resort quantitative objectives including sales revenue, labor, cost of goods sold, and expense management
- maintains operational excellence within the resort
- recognizes and rewards outstanding team performance
- demonstrates exceptional leadership behaviors
- implements data-driven resort plans supporting company initiatives and KPI achievement
- analyzes financial data and key performance indicators to optimize performance and identify growth opportunities
- develops Shift Leads' understanding of financial reports
- executes corporate marketing plans and develops local market initiatives
- actively engages community and market area to promote company offerings
- manages recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance of team members and subordinate managers
- coaches and mentors team members and leads
- enforces personnel policies and manages team performance
- creates a culture of engagement and positive retention strategies
- ensures ultimate resort customer service experiences and maintains customer service metrics
- oversees recruiting, hiring, and training to ensure quality staff
- trains resort management in effective service issue resolution
- motivates team members to proactively engage customers
- adheres to company policies and OSHA regulations
- maintains resort cleanliness, maintenance, and inventory
- leads shifts as Manager on Duty
- ensures effective shift and overall resort operations
- executes daily audits and enforces checklists and reporting
- supports General Manager with action plans and operational tasks
