Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 1 years experience in hotel management or leadership role
  • ability to perform physical tasks including kneeling, squatting, standing, sitting, bending and twisting for extended periods
  • ability to lift, push and pull up to 20lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50lbs
  • strong communication skills
  • proficiency with property management systems
  • flexibility to cover shifts as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 years experience in hotel leadership including front desk and back-of-house operations
  • proficient computer skills
  • strong team building skills
  • excellent organizational, time management and problem-solving abilities
  • effective oral and written communication skills
  • proactive problem solver

Job Duties

  • Train and provide guidance to staff
  • discuss staff performance disparities and training needs with General Manager and lead staff huddles
  • provide hands-on support and guidance to ensure team achieves outstanding results
  • post checks in property management system
  • complete weekly labor tracker
  • manage payment due reports, postpaid outs and receipts
  • ensure hotel is always guest ready by maintaining high cleanliness standards and addressing guest concerns promptly
  • monitor and follow up on guest feedback and concerns
  • suggest and sell amenities
  • ensure guest and property security
  • assign rooms for housekeeping and assist General Manager in room inspections
  • manage inventory
  • check property email
  • build relationships with vendors and guests
  • foster teamwork
  • network within local community to promote property and build relationships with competitive properties, local organizations and key clients
  • lead in-house guest sales and marketing initiatives
  • assist housekeeping in rooms and completion of laundry and public space needs
  • cover employee shifts as needed
  • follow property emergency procedures and ensure security needs are met
  • perform other duties as assigned
