Job Requirements

  • Ability to work shifts during various operating days and hours each week including openings, busy day parts, and closings to monitor restaurant associates
  • knowledge of all applicable federal, state, and local sanitary, safety, and health standards and procedures to comply with HACCP standards
  • willingness to perform job-related duties as requested within legal guidelines
  • ability to follow company policies and maintain confidentiality
  • physical capability to perform operational tasks as necessary
  • willingness to support company diversity and inclusion policies.

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of six years food and beverage, cash handling, and customer service experience
  • at least four years supervisory or lead experience in a casual dine restaurant or production kitchen
  • ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents
  • ability to converse comfortably with customers
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • knowledge of federal, state, and local sanitary, safety, and health standards including HACCP compliance
  • ability to work varied and rotating schedules including openings, busy day parts, and closings.

Job Duties

  • Completes opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies/procedures
  • assists the general manager and F&B multi unit manager in supervising day-to-day activities of associates within assigned restaurants or points-of-sale
  • interviews job candidates and makes hiring, termination, advancement, and promotion decisions
  • promotes HMSHost as an employer of choice within the community
  • monitors financial and operational data to track progress towards unit goals and optimizes staff assignments
  • manages day-to-day associate activities ensuring compliance with diversity and inclusion philosophy
  • resolves customer and associate questions and problems using judgment and discretion, escalating complex issues as needed
  • enforces compliance with adult beverage policies and ensures staff understand and follow procedures
  • prepares schedules and assigns work tasks to ensure all shifts are covered
  • ensures associates take mandated rest breaks and meal periods
  • maintains display areas clean, stocked, and visually appealing
  • ensures all equipment is in good working order
  • operates cash register following cash handling policies and maintains security of cash
  • monitors compliance with wellness and safety procedures, builds awareness, and reports safety concerns
  • performs health and safety activities as specified in the Manager's Guide
  • places orders, receives goods, and processes invoices
  • maintains current contact information for all associates
  • completes other management team assigned tasks.
