Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree or high school diploma or equivalent
  • at least one year of Assistant General Manager experience or three years of related experience
  • proficiency in hotel information systems
  • strong communication skills
  • computer proficiency including email and spreadsheet manipulation
  • ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment
  • experience in operational leadership within a hotel setting

Job Qualifications

  • bachelor's degree plus at least one year of related Assistant General Manager experience or high school diploma or equivalent plus at least three years of related experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience
  • computer skills with ability to communicate via email and analyze data from spreadsheets and databases
  • experience with hotel information systems
  • strong operational management experience
  • familiarity with select service and/or extended stay property operations

Job Duties

  • support and assist the General Manager in maintaining hotel brand standards to improve guest satisfaction
  • execute accounts receivable and payable duties within the first 30 days
  • familiarize with and manage HR processes including new hire onboarding
  • develop and implement staff optimization plans for new and current leaders and staff to deliver exceptional service
  • balance hands-on floor execution with strategic planning in a fast-paced environment
  • build cohesion among direct reports and maximize their potential
  • interact effectively with the Hotel General Manager, key leaders, staff, corporate departments, and ownership groups
