Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • bachelor’s or associate’s degree preferred
  • previous supervisory experience preferred
  • progressive experience in hospitality, hotel, restaurant, or service industry including Rooms and Food & Beverage departments preferred
  • positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • ability to follow established guidelines and procedures
  • ability to make sound decisions quickly and accurately
  • ability to work well under pressure
  • effective listening, conflict resolution, and communication skills
  • proficiency in Windows OS, spreadsheets, and word processing
  • leadership skills in hospitality and guest service
  • valid Driver’s License
  • willingness to work varied schedules including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • attention to detail
  • must meet legal age to serve alcoholic beverages at select properties

Job Duties

  • Daily supervision including guest rooms and public spaces to ensure friendly service, cleanliness and mechanical equipment functionality
  • provide one-on-one training to new team members on service and checklist expectations
  • verify active friendly service by Guest Services team during shifts
  • supervise guest check-in and check-out during peak times and meal periods
  • foster an environment of happy team members and guests
  • verify room inspections daily and adherence to cleanliness standards
  • assist with inventory counts as directed
  • support onboarding process for new team members
  • review team member time clock punches for compliance
  • ensure all daily summary and night audit processes are completed correctly
  • initiate and complete shift handover reports on each shift
  • manage purchase order process and invoices accurately
  • oversee adherence to brand Quality Assurance standards
  • certify fire and life safety inspections are current and all deficiencies corrected
  • escalate service or delivery failures properly
  • confirm preventative maintenance tasks are performed and visually inspected
  • ensure adherence to established team member work schedules
  • provide shift coverage for open department head positions when necessary
