Job Requirements
- At least 5-6 years progressive experience in a hotel
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Long hours sometimes required
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to listen understand and clarify concerns
- Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
- Approach all encounters in an attentive friendly courteous and service-oriented manner
- Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings
- Participate in M.O.D. coverage as required
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with hotel standards
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming including wearing nametags
- Comply with hotel standards and regulations
- Maximize efforts towards productivity and identify problem areas
- Effective in handling problems anticipated prevented identified and solved
- Ability to understand and evaluate complex information and data
- Maintain confidentiality of information
- Light work involving up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Play a pivotal role in hotel sales efforts including calling on top ten accounts meeting clients hosting luncheons and receptions and meeting with on-site contacts daily weekly and monthly
- Tour the operating departments daily making adjustments as needed via department heads
- Conduct weekly staff meetings including weekly training sessions and review of sales and operations efforts
- Meet all financial review dates and corporate directed programs timely
- Hold a monthly financial review with all department managers and supervisors
- Ensure department heads maintain budgeted productivity levels and accounting procedures
- Develop managers for future advancement through competency training and corporate programs
- Participate in required M.O.D. coverage as scheduled
- Maintain direct contact with and monitor the development of management trainees
- Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures and train new managers for compliance
- Oversee and assist in the budget process
- Ensure training in service standards using effective training steps
- Create a positive team-oriented environment focusing on guest service
- Inspect rooms regularly with Housekeeping and Property Engineering
- Ensure complete processing of invoices daily
- Ensure all financial information is received by corporate office monthly
- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance through inspections and preventive maintenance
- Ensure employees provide attentive courteous and efficient service
- Forecast monthly financial position estimating revenues and expenses
- Prepare and conduct management interviews and follow hiring procedures
- Interview all prospective candidates for management positions
- Perform performance appraisals and ensure manager compliance
- Motivate coach counsel and discipline management personnel
- Perform other duties as requested by Vice President or Regional Director of Operations
- Ensure fair and equitable treatment of all employees
- Meet clients on property to assist sales effort
- Be in public areas during peak times greeting guests
- Ensure hotel safe procedures and security audits are followed
- Conduct monthly credit meetings and take an active role in credit and collections policies
