Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality management preferred
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Availability to work 50 to 60 hours weekly
  • Basic math skills and POS system proficiency

  • Possess excellent basic math skills
  • Ability to operate POS system
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods (up to 5 hours)
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must have the stamina to work 50 to 60 hours per week

Job Duties

  • Work cooperatively with management team and Executive Chef and accept direction from Director of Restaurant Operations
  • Provide professional, high-class quality guest service ensuring comfort of guests in service areas
  • Develop guest relations by learning names and recognizing faces while handling requests, comments, and complaints
  • Maintain open communication lines with service staff to maximize information passage and deliver fluid service
  • Circulate freely during service periods to invite comments and resolve minor issues promptly
  • Oversee seating of guests, menu offerings, assist waitstaff, meal service, and verify guest satisfaction
  • Consult with chef regarding menu changes and potential problem areas prior to service
  • Stay informed about menu offerings to answer guest questions
  • Ensure service staff is aware of menu and special requirements before meals
  • Coordinate reservations during regular service and special occasions
  • Plan table setup on dining floor to accommodate guest requests
  • Counsel, guide, and instruct personnel on duty performance and appearance standards
  • Monitor food appearance and communicate deviations to Chef
  • Assist in staff training per regulations and procedures
  • Verify dining areas are properly set with clean linens, silver, and glassware
  • Organize workstations and communicate duties to staff before shifts
  • Coordinate and manage service timing and event flow with kitchen and guests
  • Control cash and receipts adhering to handling and reconciliation procedures
  • Assist in planning and executing marketing, advertising, and promotional activities
  • Perform other duties to support the restaurant mission
