Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, transportation management or a related field preferred
  • minimum of three years management experience in paratransit or similar transportation environment
  • proven ability to manage and lead a team effectively
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work independently and under pressure
  • knowledge of contractual and regulatory requirements
  • familiarity with safety and training program oversight
  • willingness to perform pre-employment drug test and background check
  • valid driver's license
  • availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Must have at least three years of management experience in a similar sized paratransit environment
  • experience in scheduling and personnel management and training
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
  • knowledge of contractual obligations related to paratransit services
  • knowledge of company policies to assess driver activities consistently
  • experience with Trapeze software preferred
  • experience managing fast paced environment

Job Duties

  • Effectively manage on-time performance and driver availability
  • effectively manage all dispatch functions
  • effectively manage customer relations through both direct contact and outreach programs
  • identify, select, train and mentor location staff
  • effectively and frequently communicate with location staff and support team members
  • assist in overseeing safety and training programs, plans and processes to ensure compliance with company, contract and regulatory requirements
  • contribute to maintain the safety culture of the division
  • maintain client contact routinely to meet or exceed expectations
  • assist with conducting periodic departmental audits
  • daily, weekly and monthly review of key operational metrics
  • implement, promote and adhere to company policies and procedures
  • participate in location labor and employee relations activities
