Job Requirements

  • Ability to work shifts during various operating days and hours each week including opening, busy day parts, and closing shifts
  • knowledge of all applicable federal, state, and local sanitary, safety, and health standards including HACCP
  • excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • ability to make decisions under pressure
  • proficiency in cash handling and financial monitoring
  • effective communication skills with associates and customers

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 years food and beverage, cash handling, and customer service experience
  • minimum of 4 years supervisory or lead experience in a Casual Dine restaurant or production kitchen
  • ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents
  • ability to converse comfortably with customers

Job Duties

  • Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists according to company policies/procedures
  • assist the GM/F&B Multi Unit Manager I in managing day-to-day activities of restaurant associates
  • interview job candidates and make hiring, termination, advancement, and promotion decisions
  • promote HMSHost as an employer of choice within the local community
  • read and understand financial and operational data to monitor progress towards unit goals and assign associates accordingly
  • manage day-to-day activities of associates within assigned restaurants or points-of-sale
  • ensure company diversity and inclusion philosophies are understood and executed
  • resolve customer and associate questions and problems using judgment and discretion
  • ensure compliance with all adult beverage policies and procedures
  • assign work tasks, prepare schedules, and ensure shift coverage
  • ensure associates take all mandated rest breaks and meal periods
  • maintain clean, stocked and visually appealing display areas
  • ensure all equipment is in good working order
  • operate cash register and follow cash handling policies
  • monitor compliance with wellness and safety procedures and report concerns
  • perform all health and safety activities as specified
  • place orders, receive goods, and process invoices
  • maintain current contact information for all associates working in the restaurant
