Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years management experience highly desired
  • knowledge of fitness including equipment, personal training, and group fitness
  • strong service orientation

  • CPR/AED certification within first 60 days

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Responsible for meeting monthly club quotas and personal sales quotas through direct selling and motivation of subordinate team
  • at attract new members and retains current members by maintaining club operations and assuring that the team completes and follows the Membership/Fitness Consultant's Job Description
  • service all members and internal departments by always extending excellent customer service
  • ensures new team is well trained in customer service and safety, by scheduling them with training personnel and/or trains as needed
  • supervision of subordinate team
  • schedule team member shifts, calculate current and anticipated payroll per budget requirements
  • assure all shifts are covered
  • on a weekly basis do one of the following: read, listen to audio, watch videos, or attend seminars that are industry related
  • initiate new member sign ups by explaining promotions, membership paperwork and conducting club tours
  • assist subordinate team with the closing of memberships by performing TOs
  • recognize and work to maintain existing membership by greeting members with information on upcoming events, asking members if questions may be answered or if assistance is needed
  • maintain department supplies inventory by anticipating needs, placing orders with appropriate departments, and verifying delivery
  • maintain the cleanliness and professional appearance of the club and the team
  • periodic club walk through daily to evaluate the cleanliness and maintenance needs of the interior and exterior of the club
  • ensuring that the maintenance and repair of all facility and exercise equipment is done on a timely manner
  • continuously enforce and inform all Company team of changes in policy, promotions, and programs by conducting daily and weekly team meetings and writing memos
  • resolve and document all member and team member issues by researching policies and procedures and providing answers
  • report progress or resolutions to General Manager
  • work effectively with Program Directors by scheduling, preparing, and planning club events
  • meet Company service objectives by training and developing team to responsibly service our members and memberships
  • ensures efficient communication to team
  • promotes thorough knowledge of all club operations and programs to all team
  • achieve financial objectives by preparing and maintaining, scheduling and expenditures
  • drive team results by counseling, performance management with team members, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
  • complete Company operational requirements by scheduling and assigning team members cross training team members and following up on work results
  • effectively follows through on membership issues, requests, and problems by making immediate decisions or seeks guidance from supervisor
  • promote Company programs and events by developing a club promotion plan to publicize events to members internally by Posters, Flyers, Announcements, Mail Outs, and through Team
  • ensure all Company team member policies and procedures are consistent by training, communicating and familiarizing self and others
  • contribute and monitors programs and events by working cooperatively with the Program Directors to maximize effectiveness of each program
  • attend and participate in required meetings and trainings as needed
