Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Job Qualifications

  • At least 5-6 years progressive experience in a hotel
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Attend all required meetings and trainings

Job Duties

  • Play a pivotal role in hotel sales efforts including calling on top ten accounts, meeting clients, hosting luncheons and receptions, and meeting with on-site contacts
  • Tour operating departments daily making adjustments with department heads
  • Conduct weekly staff meetings including training sessions and review sales and operations efforts
  • Meet all financial review dates and corporate programs timely
  • Hold monthly financial review meetings with department managers and supervisors
  • Ensure department heads maintain budgeted productivity and accounting procedures
  • Develop managers for advancement through competency and corporate training
  • Participate in management coverage as scheduled
  • Monitor development of management trainees
  • Adhere to all company policies and train new managers for compliance
  • Assist in budget process as required
  • Ensure service standards training in all departments
  • Promote positive team environment focusing on guest service
  • Inspect rooms regularly with housekeeping and engineering
  • Oversee invoice processing using A/P process
  • Ensure monthly financial documents are compliant and submitted
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance through inspections and preventive programs
  • Ensure employees maintain attentive, friendly, courteous and efficient interactions
  • Forecast monthly financial positions analyzing revenues and expenses
  • Conduct management interviews and hiring procedures
  • Interview final candidates for management positions
  • Perform executive committee performance appraisals
  • Motivate, coach, counsel and discipline management personnel
  • Perform additional duties as requested by Vice President or Regional Director
  • Ensure fair and equitable treatment of employees
  • Meet clients and potential clients on property
  • Be present in public areas during peak times greeting guests
  • Follow procedures for hotel safe security and audits
  • Conduct monthly credit meetings and enforce credit and collection policies
